In 363 AD, the Council of Laodicea convened and produced a list. Books of scripture that were permitted. And books that were not. One of the books they removed was older than Genesis itself — quoted by the apostles, referenced by Jesus — and it described events that don't fit the approved timeline.
The Book of Enoch was not lost. It was removed. And what it contains has been sitting in Ethiopian monasteries, Dead Sea scroll fragments, and Ethiopic manuscripts ever since — waiting.
